GlaxoSmithKline
VP Procurement, Global Systems and Operations
R. Gregg Brandyberry

Gregg Brandyberry is Vice President Procurement, Global Systems and Operations for GlaxoSmithKline responsible for the development and implementation of web enabled decision support systems, electronic sourcing and eProcurement.  In addition he has responsibility for Supplier Diversity, Procurement Compliance and the electronic bidding and negotiation of over $4.0 Billion in spend through a best practice sourcing organization called the Global eSourcing Team.  In 2003, under Gregg’s leadership, GlaxoSmithKline was awarded the prestigious Charter Institute of Procurement and Supply award for “Best Use of Technology by a Procurement Organization”.  Additionally in 2005, AT Kearney identified GlaxoSmithKline as having deployed a global best practice portfolio of electronic procurement tools (2005 Assessment for Excellence in Procurement).

Gregg has been with GlaxoSmithKline since 1993 (starting with SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories).  Prior to this, Gregg worked in the automotive, electronics and textiles industry in a variety of roles including quality, materials management, procurement and operations.

Gregg actively supports the advancement of the Procurement function by his participation as a trustee for The Center of Strategic Sourcing Leadership, and as member of Procurement Magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board.  Gregg also has a deep commitment to Supplier Diversity and participates on the International Advisory Board of The National Minority Supplier Development Council and as a board member of the PA, NJ, DE Minority Supplier Development Council.


IBM
Director, Environmental Compliance & Supply Chain Social Responsibility
Louis R. Ferretti

Lou began his IBM career as an industrial engineering in Poughkeepsie NY. He has been a manager 24 of his 25 years, spending eight years in engineering, seventeen years in the supply chain and the last 5 years as an executive manager.

  • Starting in 2008 Lou took on a new assignment as director of the Center of Excellence for Environmental Compliance, ensuring that all governmental regulations world-wide for product compliance are achieved on time. In April 2008 he took on the additional responsibility of Supply Chain Social Responsibility.
  • Earlier in his career, Lou held several senior management positions in manufacturing and central engineering and then was named site production procurement and materials manager for the Poughkeepsie/Kingston NY plants.
  • Lou was a senior manager on the manufacturing corporate staff where he led a world-wide transformation of the supply demand process resulting in the deployment of the 20 day supply/demand calendar – a 45% reduction in cycle time. 
  • After that he led Global Procurement's World-wide Y2K initiatives.
  • From there he took a special assignment in Charlotte NC, where be lead a team ensuring component supply continuity in support of IBM’s desktop and laptop production world-wide.
  • Returning to Fishkill NY, he named manager of the World-Wide Outsourced Supply Chain buy-sell operations, overseeing $6b electronic component spend. 
  • In 2003 Lou was appointed director of Asia Pacific Production Procurement and resided in Singapore from 2003 to 2005.
  • Upon returning to the US he was named director of Procurement Services Business Transformation Outsouring's Strategy and Planning.
  • In April 2006, Lou was named to IBM's Pandemic Executive Steering Committee establishing IBM's world-wide policy and practices. Since 2007 he has lead and coordinated the Integrated Operation’s world-wide pandemic planning readiness.

Lou holds a BS degree in engineering from the City University of New York.


Boeing
Director, Site Services Procurement
Doug Perry

Doug Perry is Director of Site Services Procurement, and has the assignment to develop and deploy a company- wide supplier engagement strategy aligned with Boeing’s environmental initiatives. Over his 29-year employment with Boeing, Doug has worked in various capacities within Supplier Management, covering such diverse procurement areas as raw material, purchased equipment, production standards, computing, MRO and general services, capital equipment, inventory management and warehouse distribution services, investment recovery, supply chain security services and business intelligence. Doug led Shared Services Supplier Management for three years during 2002-2005. Doug has also spent time in Customer Services and Boeing’s Human Resources Organization.

Doug attended City University and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in 1989. Doug obtained his Executive MBA degree from the University of Washington in 1998. He also attended the executive leadership program at Columbia University in 2005.

Doug was born in Toppenish, Washington, in 1957. He has been married to his wife, Teresa for 30 years, and has three daughters, ages 26, 24 and 22 years.

Mark Buckley

Mark Buckley directs Staples’ environmental commitment and sustainable business practices to protect and preserve natural resources. He is responsible for driving the company’s environmental leadership in four major areas: recycling; offering a wide assortment of eco-friendly products; investing in energy efficiency and renewable energy; and educating customers and associates about sustainability. An 18-year Staples veteran, Buckley was previously vice president of facilities management and purchasing at Staples where he directed company-wide recycling and energy conservation programs. Prior to joining Staples, Buckley held several leadership positions in the field of environmental management for Star Market, Continental Baking, General Environmental Services Inc. and the U.S. Department of Interior/Aquaculture Project.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Anselm’s College and is an active member of several environmental groups for the State of Massachusetts.

Rick Lawlor

As Director of PSD-Procurement, Rick Lawlor is responsible for providing global buy-side business development and strategic solutions through brokering vendor agreements, relationships and transactions to delivery business results across Platform & Services Division (PSD).  Partnering with various business groups and corporate functions worldwide, Rick is accountable for optimizing spend management, strategic sourcing and spend discipline.  He joined Microsoft in December 2006, as Group Manager of Strategic Sourcing in Global Foundation Services (GFS) with PSD.  Previously, he was Sr. Director of Finance and Corporate Development for Cendant Corporate Travel Solutions, a division of Cendant (currently Travelport), serving as the principal finance leader with P&L accountability of $800M in gross revenue responsible for the financial management, strategic planning, venture development and M&A opportunities.  Prior to that he held positions in Business Development and Strategy for two venture-backed companies providing online financial management services, a Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Senior Auditor with Deloitte & Touche.  He holds a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from The American University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.  In his spare time, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife and 19 month old daughter doing everything from cooking, traveling, and planning a house remodel.
