Dr. Arnold Maltz
Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management
Arizona State University

Arnold Maltz teaches supply chain management and logistics to both undergraduates and graduate students at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Professor Maltz spent twelve years in industry before obtaining his Ph.D. in Marketing/Logistics at the Ohio State University. For the past several years Dr. Maltz has been investigating issues around the use of suppliers in low cost countries, and he has done field work in Estonia and Mexico as well as interviewing buyers involved in global sourcing on a worldwide basis. Dr. Maltz has also presented to audiences in Denmark, Israel, Mexico, Argentina, and Peru and is currently studying perceptions of low cost geographies by sourcing managers.

Enslow is also a lecturer on supply chain technology and supply chain finance at York University’s Center for Supply Chain & Logistics Management in Toronto.

Mr. He is a Senior Manager in Accenture’s Global Supply Chain Management service line. Mr. He specializes in supply chain assessment and optimization, supply chain strategic planning, operation efficiency improvement, shared services and organizational redesign. He currently has a focus on low cost country sourcing, procurement transformation, and negotiation training and preparation. Mr. He has extensive experience in the Telecommunications, Automotive, Utilities, Nature Resources, Heavy Manufacturing, Financial Services, Media & High Tech, E-Commerce, Consumer Packaging Goods, and Pharmaceutical industries.

Before joining Accenture, Mr. He held a number of managerial and consulting positions in major US corporations and consulting firms in supply chain, especially sourcing and procurement, area. In those roles, Mr. He led procurement organization transformation efforts to build world class global sourcing and procurement organizations that handle annual spend of multi-billion dollars, facilitated business leader supply chain/procurement forums which pioneered best practices and policies across different, especially decentralized, operating structures, implemented e-sourcing tools, led global sourcing engagements and achieved significant savings in many different categories, improved operation efficiencies and asset utilizations, and cut down contracting cycle time dramatically.

Mr. He earned his MBA degree with Honors from the University of Chicago and holds a B.S. degree in Physics from Fudan University in Shanghai, China. He is proficient in English, Mandarin, Shanghainese, and Cantonese. Mr. He is based out of the Reston, VA (Washington DC) office.

Brent Edmisten

Brent E. Edmisten is a Business Process Improvement and Supply Chain Management professional with 16 years of industry leadership experience in Program Management, New Product Development, Purchasing, Materials, Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing Strategy, and Supply Chain Management.  He led the on-site assessment and final selection process in which Cessna Aircraft was awarded the 2003 Purchasing Medal of Excellence in Supply Chain Management.  Brent leads all of the Strategic Sourcing processes for all Direct Material Commodities and the Manufacturing Strategy for Cessna Aircraft Company.  He also owns the ISC Strategic Planning and Globalization for the Integrated Supply Chain Strategy at Cessna Aircraft Company.  Brent is a graduate of Friends University with an Executive MBA.  He and his wife Debbie live in Wichita, Kansas and have one daughter and one son.

Bob has recently joined GE, having spent the last 8 years with INSIGHT a leading supply chain design software and services firm, where Bob most recently was the Chief Operating Officer. Bob has been recognized by DC Velocity magazine wining Rainmaker 2004 recognition and as a 2004 Providers Pro to Know by Supply & Demand Chain magazine. Bob has been an often-quoted speaker on supply chain issues, including global sourcing and global supply chain design.

Mr. Belshaw is a graduate of Lehigh University. He received his BS Industrial Engineering Degree in 1982 and has taken additional coursework at the University of Pennsylvania.

He has held various executive positions in transportation, manufacturing, purchasing and general management in a number of companies and industries. Mr. Scharf has an economics degree from University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Christian Verstraete

Christian Verstraete, worldwide Senior Director for HP’s Manufacturing and Distributions Industries Worldwide Solutions & Technology Integration Group, has been a member of HP’s manufacturing team for more than 26 years. Verstraete is responsible for identifying and developing HP’s differentiated portfolio of horizontal and vertical solutions for the manufacturing industries. His group is tasked with creating field-ready solutions that meet the specific needs of customers, geographies and HP’s Technology Solutions Group (TSG) business units.

Prior to his current position, Verstraete led HP’s global High-Tech Industry Group and its manufacturing industries Supply Chain go-to-market strategy where he was responsible for growing the company’s $300 million consulting and system integration business.

As vice president, Manufacturing Industry Practice, he headed HP’s manufacturing practice within the Consulting and Integration business unit from 2002 to 2004 The 1200 consultants he led created and delivered solutions in the areas of supply chain, procurement and sourcing, product lifecycle collaboration, demand chain and collaborative business integration. The team also developed specific offerings for customers in the automotive, high-tech, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors.

Prior to that, Verstraete served as the Global Lead in the Extended Manufacturing Practice and the Supply Chain Infrastructure and EAI. From his first HP job as a systems engineer through project, regional, district and global management, Verstraete has concentrated on developing, marketing and advancing infrastructure services.

Frequently published in periodicals, Verstraete has been a featured speaker at several global supply chain events. Verstraete’s latest book, Collaborative Sourcing, Strategic Value Creation through Collaborative Supplier Relationship Management, is currently available at www.i6doc.com.

Verstraete holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Universite catholique de Louvain in Belgium and a degree in industrial management from Katholieke Universiteit van Leuven, also in Belgium. He is based in Brussels, Belgium.

Ms. Winkleblack has been with Claire's since 1993. Prior to Claire's, she was with Montgomery Ward in a variety of domestic and international positions. She also is an adjunct facility member at several local colleges, teaching courses in Ocean Freight and Principles of Importing and Exporting.

She holds a M.B.A., along with a B.S. in Psychology and a certificate in Transportation.

He is currently responsible for the consolidated Purchased Finished Goods team in Office Products North America. This responsibility entails the sourcing, production planning/scheduling and distribution of all products that are not internally manufactured by Avery Dennison.

Pierre Mitchell

In 1995 Chocko founded the Sonaversity (a joint initiative with the NBCC Canada.) the e-learning center of Sona College, owned and run by his family. Sonaversity develops e-learning content for 5000 students in its own college campus and for 1000s of students outside.

Chocko is has intense passion for technology. He set up a factory which has 160 employees on roller skates. Today he has the world record holder in typing training, coaching @ Vee.

Chocko’s leadership skills were noticed early in his college days- he was elected twice as a chairman of his College. He is a Radio Jockey (retired), and he loves photography ‘his 3rd eye’.
